Jimmy Scott - The Way You Look Tonight (Stuhr Remix)
"The Way You Look Tonight" is a 1936 song that was written by Jerome Kern and Dorothy Fields for the film "Swing Time" and was performed in the film by Fred Astaire.
Subsequently, the tune has been covered by many artists over the years to varying success. In 1960, Jimmy Scott covered the track with an unmatched style as was common to all his work. The simplest of tunes can become entirely new works of art when given the Jimmy Scott treatment, and "The Way You Look Tonight" is no different. That version can be found in the 3 CD set, "The Savoy Years and More."
This version is a remix of the original 1960 recording by Scott and was included in the compilation, "Rewound & Reworked Jazz Remixes - Volume 2".
